Trade Show Spot Light

Since 1982 Flexiciser has made a great impact on the lives of thousands of people with mobility challenges. From the beginning, individuals have been introduced to Flexiciser at trade shows like the Abilities Expos. Inventor Ken Richardson has been a familiar face at the show for over 20 years.

For Flexiciser the Abilities Expos are the largest events on the calendar and the only shows that the entire team attends together. It is a great bonding experience. When asked their favorite memories from Abilities Expos past every team member recalls the reaction of one particular customer trying Flexiciser for the first time. Nancy Kiel, Trade Show Manager, has been attending Abilities for over 25 years.

In 2005 Nancy met a young lady named Kim Brown who had been paralyzed since she was eight months old. Surrounded by friends all with tears of joy in their eyes, seeing Kim’s legs move. She said “I was blown away seeing my legs move for the first time in 15 1/2 years... (I) haven’t felt anything that exciting (in my legs) in years...” Heli Rytkonen, Director of Sales and Marketing, says that a couple from New York stands out most for her.

The “husband was disabled and suffering from extremely poor circulation, and as a result his feet were dark, swollen and painful. He tried Flexiciser and within 10 minutes we were able to increase the circulation in his legs tremendously- and witness his skin color return to

normal!” The following year that same couple came to the booth at Abilities to hug Heli and tell her how happy they Trade Show Calendar CSU Northridge - March 13-15 Los Angeles, CA

“The Flexiciser had changed their lives and the husband’s health!” Myself, I recall meeting a real hero in Southern California last year. He had been paralyzed whil protecting a young girl during a shooting. In so doing, he traded the use of his legs to save her life, and he still had the most amazing outlook on life. It seemed that he drew strength from his new challenge and was living as best he could Spinal Cord Injury or not. As with all true heroes, he carried himself with great humility.

I am sure we would not have learned his story had his very proud wife not been there to tell it. Over 25 years Flexiciser has grown, new products are being developed, sales people travel across the country year round to promote the products

which are professionally manufactured rather than built one at a time and can be shipped across the nation and world in only a few weeks.

May things have changed; what remains and always will is the great desire for the team to connect with the people who use Flexiciser every day.

So if you will be at the Abilities Expos this season, in New Jersey, California, or Minnesota stop by the booth and let us know how you like your Flexiciser! Tell us your story. We can’t wait to hear.
